Hotel broadband — usually sucks

I’m starting to choose (or avoid) hotels based on the broadband speed.

Between Web apps (like Gmail) and streaming-only content (like Hulu), hotels with crappy bandwidth are downright painful.

Are there web sites that tell you user opinions of hotel internet access?

Not that I know of, but I wish there were!

so how do you determine the hotels speed?

I use one of the speed report tools (e.g. DSL speed reports) when I’m at the hotel, then use that data for future bookings.

I wish the hotel review sites reported this info.
